You Are Always Branding

Social media, networking, and more are all representations of your brand. Are you making it consistent?

Sometimes we don't realize that all of our interactions as entrepreneurs is actually a representation of our business as entrepreneurs. We'd really like to think that we have a space on our personal social media however, if we have promoted our products or services on there it has now become a platform for digital marketing. Everything you say or post begins to speak to your audience about the value systems you put in place for your business. This can be a great opportunity maximize though it can be a great detriment as well. There can be a diametrically opposed story we are presenting to our potential ideal market. I've seen it happen more than once.

Once creatives see this then I see them only post about their business and this hurts them as well. As the authenticity of their brand isn't present and they expect their work, product, or service to sell its self. Not such a great strategy when your business is about working WITH people. Also, when you are networking you need to make sure that how you interact with people and how you present yourself are also representations of your brand. Once you define what this it is so much easier to put into practice that story and experience you want everyone you come in contact with to have. They may not be your customer, but networks are a crucial part to support and success in your business. We can't do it alone so we need to foster these relationships. Remember, they may not be your target audience though they just might now someone who is and facilitating this relationship through experience is almost a full guarantee at landing that customer or client. You are your brand and everything you do is a representation of that as an entrepreneur. Are you presenting the right experience?
